James Vickery is a research economist in the Financial Intermediation function, where he has worked since 2004. Mr. Vickery's research and policy work focuses on topics relating to banking, mortgage finance and securitization. A separate line of research studies the provision of insurance to households in developing countries. In addition, Mr. Vickery teaches an MBA course on Real Estate Capital Markets at NYU Stern, where he was also a visiting assistant professor in 2007-08. Mr. Vickery completed a PhD in Economics from MIT in 2004. Prior to graduate school he was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia.
