Global Economic Forum - Seminar for Educators
June 29 - July 1, 2004
 

Overview
The Public Information Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a three-day seminar for Global History, Economics, and Social Studies teachers. Federal Reserve specialists from the International Research and Emerging Markets groups will conduct briefings dealing with key issues, areas of the world, and nations that impact the global economy. Master teachers will demonstrate sample classroom approaches. As a culminating activity, Forum attendees, playing the role of representatives from various nations, will participate in a global economic summit simulation.

Free materials will be distributed. Participants are eligible for New York City, State, and New Jersey staff development credits.

Registration Information
The seminar will be held on Tuesday, June 29 through Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 33 Liberty Street (10th Floor Northwest Conference Room), New York, New York, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Who Should Attend
Teachers from schools in the Second Federal Reserve District (New York State, Northern and Central New Jersey-Monmouth County and north, and Fairfield County, Connecticut)
Registration Deadline
The registration deadline is Tuesday, June 1, 2004. Only the first 50 registrants will be accepted.

There is no cost. Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge.
