The Automation & Systems Services Group is responsible for the provision of technology services to the Bank. These include systems development for web, distributed and mainframe processing, network, communications and data center infrastructure and operations, overall information technology and information security. The Group also provides national information security, incident response and national remote access services for the Federal Reserve System. Mr. Yorke joined the Federal Reserve in February 2000 as a senior vice president. He was promoted to his current position in December 2001. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Mr. Yorke was vice president and director of systems and technology for Citibank North America. He was responsible for managing the technology, systems and staff used to support Citibank’s North American consumer banking business. He was previously vice president of global banking systems in the international division of Citibank’s global consumer bank. Earlier, Mr. Yorke was with American Express where he was division vice president of systems and operations for the Asia, Pacific, Australia division. He was based in the division’s headquarters in Singapore and then in Hong Kong. Mr. Yorke’s background includes computer systems engineering and management roles with International Computers (ICL) Ltd. in New York, the British Automobile Association in the UK and service in the Royal Corps of Signals of the British Army. He is a member of the British Chartered Management Institute and the British Institute of Data Processing Management. He is a member of the board of the Science Museum of Long Island.
